Keyboard and touchpad not work after update and reboot

Hi folks,

I did update my system yesterday. I had some troubles updating, specially with some perl modules (5.18-5.20) and udev, eudev conflicts - I remove old udev first, but I remeber that it was installed later. So I managed this and emerge world works fine.

After the reboot I’m stuck at login screen - my keyboard, touchpad, trackpoint dont work at all, neither USB external keyboard. I tried to boot older kernel with the same result. Also did try to start recovery mode, with the very same result.

Can somebody point me to the solution (other than reinstalling whole thing  ) please ?

I’m using T430s and CLDX distro.

Thanks

You can try boot from live-usb, mount your root-dev to some directory, chroot to this directory and then install eudev if it not installed.

Iurii,

thanks for pointing this out.
Did chroot, and replaced udev with eudev and now everything works again.
I probably missed the fact that eudev is replacement for udev.
Many thanks!
