• berkdb - Adds support for sys-libs/db (Berkeley DB for MySQL)
• crypt - Add support for encryption -- using mcrypt or gpg where applicable

• iodbc - Adds support for iODBC library
• ipv6 - Adds support for IP version 6
• kerberos - Adds kerberos support
