cl-kernel fails from 12.02 onward, but definately on 12.03. I’m sure I’m not the only one this happens to.
I would also like to know the proper way to upgrade the entire OS, let’s say from version 11.x to 12.x without a problem? I’m thinking that maybe the new 12.03 configs fail, but upgrading from 11.15 to 12.03 would avoid this since it might keep the old config files around?
Also, how do I actually prove which version of Calculate Linux I’m running, that is ,returning the specfic version # of the OS? Isn’t Calculate a rolling release so that doing that would be fairly easy?
A ton of “Manifest not found” messages. Why is this? Does this happen on all boxes to start with version 12.03?
I tried both commands. No go.

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "sys-kernel/calculate-sources".
Absolutely no effect at all. Still, manifest not found for a whole list of things. eix-sync did not work, nor did trying to emerge portage, nor did trying to upgrade/update or anything else.
Not ok. cl-kernel still fails. eix errors fixed, however, the other and very important error remains.l When I do USE="-minimal" emerge -qv sys-kernel/calculate-sources I get “there are no ebuilds to satisfy” etc etc.
And when I do cl-kernel --menuconfig, I get tons of error messages, I’ll attach a text file for you to see. Thanks.
I eagerly await a fix, as this has never happened before, and if i’m correct, has to do with stuff that’s going on with your repository servers?
Still did everything all over again, and nothing works! Same errors when I try to cl-kernel or cl-kernel --menuconfig.
I would love to know if I can start with an earlier version of calculate, like 11.15, and maybe upgrade to 12.03 through 11.15? How is that done, just a world update or something?
I went back to 12, did an update after cl-kernel BROKE, and then did the minimal tihng. works perfectly and I’m happy with 12 until a bug-free 12.0x comes out.

What system? CLD, CLDX, CLDG, CDS?
Sorry this might be out of order. Yes, I did that and absolutely nothing works. I’m positive. But as previously mentioned, I’m doing a re-install of 12 and starting from there.
